The only real "proof" is exactly what the Bible says--if you will open your heart to Christ

(and I'm not talking about judgmental hypocrites which are in not only churches but everywhere else in the world)

Then the Spirit of God will come to testify himself to you.

Proof is exactly the problem i had. I tried looking into a lot of philosophies (new age mysticism was the main one) to "prove" what what going on in my life. Only the Bible's testimony rang true.

What if I asked you to "prove" that you have a spouse, a family and parents? You would tell me, you don't need to prove it, because you're here. Or you would show me pictures, which is a kind of proof. The Bible is the same as that. But more. You would really really prove it by saying "come meet them."

mdchiesi, do you have any proof that "he" callied you? Mohammed claimed an angel and God dictated the entire Koran to him. People in the ancient world claimed that Zeus and Apollo and other gods spoke to them. Joseph Smith claimed an angel told him where to find the Book of Mormon. Now, do you believe all these people were spoken to by all these different gods or angels? If not, then I guess you will have to admit that it is possible for people to be deluded about God speaking to them.

Only one voice that raises the dead? Not true. In fact, a cursory reading of early Christianity will show that claims by religious leaders were a dime a dozen in those days. In a day and age when various death-like conditions were ill understood, it was easy. Besides, how hard was it for Lazarus to hide in a tomb and to come out pretending he had been dead when Jesus called him? You can see phoneys healing people on Sunday morning on TV anytime. Don't be gullible!
