Gwynn retiring wasn't the Padres' fault, and Trevor won't be in the league but maybe one or two more years. I loved them too, but you can't really hold it against them. And naming a few players over the past 40 years they "gave away" is kind of silly, EVERY franchise "gives away" great talent, you can come up with names for all of them.

If you're going to hold a grudge, make it something valid, like letting a team go to the shitter because the owner had a divorce. That's what really pisses me off, and has me jaded as a Padres fan. There's no excuse for Moore's personal life to gut the team. Personal life :: Business. Learn to seperate the two. I just hope Moorad officially takes over sooner rather than later.

I agree with that however a small market team like the Padres giving away talent does hurt them. Yes I know the Yankees give away talent as well but they can replace them because they are a big market team and have the money to. I will say this if and when the Padres win a world series I will cheer for them. I just right now don't see it happening.
