@thunderousfire Things like these do happen. Except for the riot part. It has been decades since the last riot in Singapore. However, there have been arrests of dangerous criminals where the STAR team was involved.
Such things do happen, but it's just that we as the public do not get to see it unless we are lucky enough to be near the situation

@stijlistik ouh my bad! Yeah thats STAR! They will be in civillain when they are trailing suspects... Like the Dave Teo case... Waiting for the right time to ambush... In the meantime wearing civillain, they can recce the situation if safe to make ambush..

@h0lydoctor: those in civilians are not troopers from SOC... They are more in negotiating team, which is commonly known as Crisis Negotiation Unit... However, this CNU is also based in SOC... Its like all in one roof...
