@krissjean Have you ever heard of the bible stories like for example Noah's ark, Sodom and Gomorrah or how Moses supposedly led Israelites out of Egypt and God helped him by sending plagues to cause suffering and even kill Egyptians? Those weren't about "people killing other people". In those stories God himself, with his powers, killed a massive amount of people.

I grew up in a Catholic private school from kindergarten to 8th grade so I've had a decent upbringing with religion. When I got into high school I started to question a lot of things. That's when I've come to realize, I'm atheist. I don't believe in god, heaven, satan, or hell.

HOWEVER, I do agree with you on his video, it was tasteless. I see no reason to push MY beliefs onto other people. After thoroughly debating with myself over religion and atheism, it's what I believe.

You might want to pick up a book on popular neuroscience as well by the way. The chances of lives after death existing are essentially zero given our current knowledge of the brain and how personality and memory is stored. So we don't really have to engage any iron age myths and fear tactics with "What if they're true?" any more than we have to engage the Zeus hypothesis of lightning that way.

e) History. May I suggest reading "Jesus, Interrupted" by Bart Ehrman and "The Bible Unearthed" by Finkelstein/Lieberman? You sound entirely ignorant about the problems with regarding the bible as history. Those books will help you out with that.

It's not that "We don't believe you" either BTW. It's simply a fact that you don't know what you're talking about, so there's no reason to take you seriously. You are not an expert on transcendental afterlives. You also fail to recognize that other religions have hells as well. For example, the muslims have one - where all the non-muslims go. Ask yourself why are you not worried about that. We can also easily imagine transcendental places of torture where people get sent for being gullible.
