silly news reporter.
she doesn't realise that american graduates make huge amounts of money, whereas UK graduates are lucky to find a job.
furthermore, she doesn't realise that US unversities have a huge bursary system for poorer students, which is much better than that which exists in the UK.
also, loans are more easily accessible in the US to cover fees. in the UK, there are many students who are not allowed to have a loan, and need to pay their fees upfront.
