Vandalls of Hammerwich

The Old Mates, veterans from Het Utrechts Morris Team, performing Vandalls of Hammerwich, a dance from the tradition of Lichfield. Videofragment from the DVD, made during the Weekend of Dance in 2004 celebrating Utrechts 25th anniversary. The Old Mates gathered for this special occasion only. Shot at the Wierickerschans, Bodegraven, The Netherlands at June 19th 2004, during the festival 'Muziekfestijn De Langste Dag'.
The Old Mates did have a few practices (the first in 15 years for some of them) and really held their own! The Old Mates were at the celebration with eight men, but unfortunately one of them, squire Jens, sprained his ankle, so Arnold (in a white shirt) joined them as a spare.
