Three of the infamous 'Bali Nine' are on Death Row in Bali following their capture for drug trafficking. Unprecedented access was gained for this report; the first time anyone has been permitted to film there.

"I never thought of myself as a bad person - as I look back at myself now I see how stupid I was." Waiting for the verdict on their appeals, the young Australians speak candidly about the choices and crimes that led them to this point, the anguish of their families back home, and the terrifying prospect of death by firing squad. An intimate and powerful report.

  • Mercy But they did need to get caught.. . to wake them up. I hope they get out and make something of their lives.

  • Poor young idiots. These two guys especially were demonized and made out to be ringleaders and kingpins, it's almost strange to see how they are just normal young aussies that made really dumb decisions.

I don't want them to be executed, but they knew the risks and that's all there is to it.

For a country to fight drug smuggling, it HAS to take a hard line, and if you cross it, then you've ignored every chance given to you. It's not about the country being civilized or not

  • scott rush looks like a herion junkie

  • It real does my guts in to see that these are such normal people that simply slipped up. If i had my way I would release them but it just doesn't work like that

  • Say what you want about Kerobokan being a "hell hole", I did 6 months in MCAC, 401 East Madison St. Baltimore, MD. Kerobokan looks like a 5 star resort compared to that place. I was locked in a concrete box about the size of a small bathroom. Much of the time there was no mat, no blanket, no chair. Just a slab of concrete and a toilet, often with leg irons and handcuffs.

  • I believe in capital punishment... George Bush and Dick Cheney should be the first two...

  • That's funny. these prisoners are getting much better treatment, and freedom than prisoners in american, and western prisons.

  • Scott Rush looks like such a pussy

  • I hope to god the president grants them clemency...!
