Thankyou to the few people who commented on my video, I cant belive how many veiws iv'e had all over the world. Also a big thanks to my grandad for his effort of telling us about his childhood. And finaly a big thanks to highshore for making this video happen.
Youy did a very fine job. Your grandad is quite a handsome gentleman as well. I really enjoyed this. As a Amercan born in the 50's it's a good thing to learn what happened to others during WW II.
I know this video has been used in school for both history and english lessons as background. A superb piece of work and a valuable resource. You should be very proud.
I loved this video I have an article Working Class Life in the 1940s and I have featured your video in the opening of this article. You made a really good job with this video not just the interview but also the video techniques you have used like the backgrounds I am very impressed by the standard of your work. I hope featuring your video will increase your traffic as well as enriching my article.
This really reminded me of my childhood in London during the blitz and as an evacuee. My mother took us to stay with grandmother in Mevagissey, Cornwall. I remember the fishing boats caught pilchards. I particularly remember one night when we were back in London. We had been in my grandmother's Anderson shelter and went back to the house to use the bathroom. We had a problem getting back in the shelter as my grandmother was very plump and got stuck in the doorway opening.
Great job. You will be so happy to have this interview with your granddad in years to come. Something for you to pass to your own children too.
