  • @lazaga777 TAIKI-KEN is derived from xingyiquan

  • @wayfareoftaoism The truth is I don't. I only adopt some of the Tai Chi principles to my own such as:

"movement should be circular and continuous"

    "use opponents force against him"

    "strike at the opportune moment"

But the forms I practice are different. I read Taichi books and other martial arts to supplement my own style and make up for the weaknesses of the system. And during sparring sessions I apply them and check if it works for me.

  • @lazaga777 I do not know what system of tai chi you've studied, but this is not even close to what tai chi's martial abilities are.I am not trying to put you down or saying that you do not know I am saying from my own studies that tai chis mind is like lightening,so sharp and when you think, it is already happening.I only use martial to attain a higher level of consciousness,in witch it was originally created for.To discover the TAO and merge back into the CREATION before duality.ONENESS PEACE

  • @lazaga777 Taiki-ken is the japanese version of Yi-quan, founded by Kenichi Sawai when he returned from China after WWII. There are plenty of Yi-quan videos on youtube :)

  • Nice! I think this is a newly formed system derived from Tai Chi Chuan.
