@gotch09 Jesse Brewer was not written out of the show. The actress who played her left the show when she was battling cancer and later passed away. She asked that the show not make light of her leaving and they didn't. I hope this show continues on for a very long time.

I'll tell you what, if ABC gets Jana Taylor to play Angie on the 50th anniversary of General Hospital, that will be a miracle. She is probably the only alumnus from 1963 that is still alive.

@ashtonkfan I hope they do. I remember when my grandmother watched it decades ago. I remember Steve and Audrey when they were YOUNG. And Jesse Brewer (how did she get written out of the show?) And the lawyer Peter, who was a alcoholic,and his son Scotty.
