At the intersection of Mulberry and College in Fort Collins, Colorado dueling health care street protests faced off. They shared their thoughts and signs on the purposed National health care plan. One corner had the pro Obama health care folks and the other 3 cornes had people against the plan. A lady at the event went around to each corner and counted the people supporting each side. She came up with an estimated count of 350 people there against the plan and around 120 people there for the health care plan.

  • I was at a different event up there in Fort Collins.

...I'm surprised I didn't see this going on.

Maybe I was too far down on College to see it.

  • You have my curiosity piqued. What else was going on down College Avenue?

  • Socialists side - lots of pre-printed signs

Constitutionalists side - lots of home made signs.

Gimme gimme free health care seems to be the socialists cry.

Congress weenies now need front men to protect them from direct contact with citizens.

  • In Colorado it rains and in Arizona we get 112 degree weather. Nothing can stop us.

  • @lonhosford I noticed that also: pre-printed signs......they've got the backing of the rich dems who keep pushing this communist agenda.

  • What a crazy bitch, Fort Collins is liberal as all hell. What's with people that won't accept reality? Is it really that hard?

  • Why do both sides have American Flags? Surely they're both sides are American.

  • sweet. and how much do they pay? You are totally speculating. Those people are most likely volunteers and a couple may be paid to organize.

  • look at the bottom of the signs supporting the health care bill it says AFL-CIO follow the money trail my friend.

  • @ cjrush1009 Who pays these type of people. I will show up for either side as long as I'm getting paid... I have never heard of such a thing. Do you have reason to believe this or do you just not realize how incredibly easy and cheap it is to get/make signs like those?

  • "where do we draw the line"

    We Don't.

It intervenes where it is needed.

  • Actually, the Constitution is the only place where the Federal government gets it's powers. All other rights not specifically mentioned belong to the States or the People.

Of course those powers have expanded as the Supreme Court has more broadly interpretted the powers granted by the Constitution. Some of those expanded powers probably make sense in the modern day but where do we draw the line. Increasing government interference (Republican or Democrat) in our lives is troubling to some.
