From Democracy Now: Eleven people were arrested Monday evening at UC Irvine where Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren came to talk about U.S.-Israel relations. Is that an Irvine professor threatening people with grades at the end of the video?
According to the Orange County Register: hours earlier, UCIs Muslim Student Union said in an email today that its members condemn and oppose the presence of Michael Oren, the ambassador of Israel to the United States, on our campus today. We resent that the Law School and the Political Science Department on our campus have agreed to cosponsor a public figure who represents a state that continues to break international and humanitarian law and is condemned by more UN Human Rights Council resolutions than all other countries in the world combined.

The kids were wrong. They should have held a protest outside. They tried to deny the rights of others. They are not heroes.

What if every group just started disrupting the other group's speeches like this? This isn't right. Total fail of a protest!

Excuse their behavior? They live in sunny California, not Palestine! Life must be so hard for these kids... Obama goes out of his way to support the Muslim community here in the States. Easier being a Muslim than Christian these days. Anyone notice that the protesters were all young kids too? Where were the adult protesters? No wonder Israelis treat the Palestinians how they do, they act like this all the time or are blowing people up.

The scary thing about Iran is that most people believe they will go out of their way to actually use them. I don't think Israel having nukes is a good thing, but they have never used them and don't think they ever will unless put in a last resort. The problem with Muslim countries and ones that support terrorism is that they have no value on human life. I mean, why would you? Whats the going rate these days- 60 virgins upon death?

The people should have protested outside if they did not like his views. Someone - even people's views I disagree with - should be able to give a lecture on a college campus without pre-planned and repeated disruptions.

Did you see that jewish professor w/ the yarmulke at the end full of hate saying to every passing Arab that "why don't you drop out, you are failing!"? That is just wrong. You can somewhat excuse the young 19 and 20 yr old Arabs who grew up w/ this oppression their whole lives. SOme may be Palestinian or Lebanese. But theres no excuse for a jewish teacher to discriminate, blackmail, & threaten every passing Arab who walked out. That guy should be fired!

The Palestinians demand that the illegal settlements be disbanded. Palestinians were ethnic cleansed to build them and as Peace Now reported private Palestinian land was seized. The PLO hinted that they would possibly accept settlers if they become citizens and part of the political entity to be established. Can Palestinians simply move into Tel Aviv? No. Yet a Palestinian family can be forced off land.. Jewish Israelis should be accomodated in a settlement that is fair for both.
