(Edit: re-uploaded because I'm bad at making videos.)

So, This is a lighting system I developed 3 years ago, it can be made to IP65, 66, 67, and 68 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code)

This kind of stuff isn't new folks, and I have to warn you If you see a LED light that has any kind of metal fins on it, ITS NOT AS EFFICIENT AS IT COULD BE. Those fins are to dump excess heat. Meaning they're using a singular high wattage LED light that gets very hot.

Heat = waste, period. There is no argument against this.

It's quite possible to make a LED light that will last 50,000 hours or more, (and the lighting I produce is good for this) yet they're generally advertising 20,000 hours, (and even that isn't guaranteed) So be wary, LED lighting is the way of the future, to be sure. But there's a big scramble right now to grab market share, while still producing a product that will fail sooner rather then later, so they can sell you another product.

The system I've devised, doesn't even need line voltage AC, It's a pure 12vdc system, meaning you don't even require a electrician to install it. You could run your houses lighting off a backup battery array, and charge that array right from solar panels, no need for wasteful inverters or converters.

Yes, that means you could go completely off the grid to light your home, forget paying less for electricity, how about not paying at all?

Generally it works out to about 2.5 watts worth of LED light is required for every sq meter. So for a 180sqmtr (2000sqft) house, it only draws 450 watts for the entire property. These lights don't require any heat-sinking (no waste in heat) and last for 50,000 hours.

So, be wary, LED is the new thing and there's lots of snakeoil sales out there preying on public ignorance of what these are actually capable of.
