Fortin modded 1987 Marshall "California mod". Clip performed by Dave Ziemba of the Salads www.thesalads.com Signal chain: Guitar directly into amp, into an Avatar 4x12 loaded with V30s, miced with an MXL USB microphone.
I think it sounds amazing, ESPECIALLY because it started as a Marshall, so we kind of agree that it doesn't sound typical for an 800. To me, it sounds closer to a Dual Rec in it's girth and body, but it's got that Marshall spit and vinegar happening in the top end of the gain.
Gawd I love this amp Mike !!!! Just hope you will have some time in future after doing the Randall gig to mod them again !
