OK I am a pipe virgin (have never smoked cigs, cigars, or pipes) but I have an interest. That being said, I am nervous about the health aspects, mouth cancer, throat cancer. Also, what does the smoke taste like? In this video, you take a drag and say that it tastes good or that it is a good tobacco. What makes a good tabacco? Be gentle!

@Tillerman7 smoking is not healthy, but of all the things you can smoke, pipes are leats unhealthy. Smoke taste depends completely on the pipe tobacco you select. Mine tastes like cigars and campfire

@MegaHeadrush no way man. Tobacco pipes are for tobacco, trust me I've tried putting weed in mine. they're designed for taking small puffs to get the taste, and have a nice smoke. not for taking big hits. like i said, trust me, I've tried.

I would probably consider Bear Blend one of the best "starter tobaccos" from Boswell's. Get yourself an ounce each of five different blends or so. I personally got Berry Cobbler, Penn. Dutch Treat, Northwoods, Countryside, and Bear Blend. The reason I like Bear Blend is that it's a cherry/caramel aromatic, but it's also got a bit of Latakia, giving it a little, not alot, of an "English" kick. A little of both worlds there. Northwoods, on the other hand, nearly knocked me on my ass... good stuff.
