  • The subject is how to prevent grout from staining? This discussion wanders away from it. Here are your options:

    - Seal it. Then seal it again every couple years, minimum.

    - Use an epoxy grout, such as Spectra Lock. It never needs sealing and will not stain.

    These are your only two options... the rest is fluff.

  • I had 17" porcelain tile put down only 6 months ago and I have 9 tiles with cracks on the edges. The tiles are on a concreate slab and the house is level and 30 yrs old. I think there are voids under them and the workmanship was not good. What could be the reason?

  • dark grout is not a solution for a white bath tile.. to me the answer is , if you choose a white beautiful floor tile.. with white grout..let they know..will take TLC all the time..
