The forest area seen here is part of the longest continuous tree canopy in New South Wales. A stitched 270° photo taken from the same location can be seen here - http://michaelsentinella.com/Photos/index3.html

  • How do u pan that slow??? In real time that would be like an inch per 30 seconds or something!

  • @justinlovespastry

Smooth panning achieved with a bicycle wheel, 6 tiny pulleys and an electric motor taken from a printer. The electric motor drives the wheel at the rim while pulley chord is wound onto the axle, giving a total pull speed on the tripod handle of several cm per minute

  • Too slow in my opinion.

  • @TonyEtna1987 Thanks for the advice. I'll do it again about 2X as fast.

  • Nice smooth video! How many seconds of interval are you shooting with? I'm at the moment trying with a 2 sec interval, it's also my first try, so that'll be exciting.

  • Interesting effect. I may try it.

Compare to what this guy has been doing to your NW.
