This is the movie of our performance at the IHSA competition. Although it's not the best we've ever played it, it still sounded great and I'm really proud of us. We got a first for this performance. The piece being played is Mood Militant by Claire W. Johnson.

The instrumentation is as follows:

First Trumpet - Robert McDonough
Second Trumpet - Tim Mills
French Horn - Alex Maskevitch
Baritone - Brittany Weida
Tuba - Cyle Tomusiak

Thank you guys so much. I had so much fun throughout the entire time we've been working on this, and now it's finally paid off!

Note: This was recorded using no other equipment than the camera and its built-in microphone. The quality of this movie (especially the sound) is nowhere near what it sounds like in real life.

  • in eigth grade i played the euphonium part to this.

  • Such a fun song, I played tuba when my quintet performed it

  • Haha, man, it would be awesome to be able to read sheets on guitar. I'm satisfied with tabs for now though...XD I should probably go buy a keyboard and try to learn something on that.

  • yea i just read tabs for guitar. but you should learn to reads sheet w/ guitar. that will be awesome!!

  • Yeah, it seems like everybody is playing guitar x__x. I wish I could read music with the guitar, but I can't, agh. I'll have to look in to piano...

  • i started to play guitar as well but a lot of my friends started to learn it also so it was to "common" i guess. i moved on to piano and love it. can you read sheets w/ the guitar?

  • I play guitar a lot now, but I have been leaning towards trying to learn some stuff on the piano...I'm just afraid I wouldn't be coordinated enough to do different things at the same time with each hand. I don't have a keyboard either >__>

  • thats cool i stopped playing baritone my freshmen year in high school. i play the piano now =D. you should try picking up a new instrument, since you already have experience in music, it's a lot faster to learn a new one.

  • I try to play every now and then. I just graduated high school, so I won't be playing for class anymore, haha.

  • ha its all good though. you still play?
