  • Great bike! What brand is that aftermarket rack and detachable storage box? I would like to get one for myself.

  • @jonesey303 Thanks...Its a rentec sports rack for a kawasaki, with a couple of home made mountings to make fit, and a universal Givi mounting plate and Givi E45 top box. Has worked really well, much stronger than those flimsy chrome racks.

  • What is your starting Proceedure when she is cold?

    I just bought a 1975 cb750 Super sport

and I tried to start it cold and flooded it bad

Do you twist the throttle at start up? or what any tips on a cold starts?

  • Full Choke, a little throttle as it starts, then quickly back off the choke enough till engine feels smooth! If your having a problem starting and it floods, its probably sooted up plugs preventing a decent spark then it will flood, it needs a good run on full throttle regular like! I would gap all the plugs and clean them, and check your getting a decent spark. Bike needs a decent run! I liked the Super Sport, have fun!

  • Good work! You Brittish dudes get down! I had a double overhead cam 750 and found that is was kind of cold blooded even after 10 minutes parked on a cold day I would have to give it some choke, I only say that because it sounds like your motor was a little cold.

  • thanks, Its the Honda rustle! Its was cold but its typical of these motors, the clattering of the tappets the cam chain the primary chain clutch etc..! I like it, cause you hear exactly the condition of the motor.

  • I owned my first 69 cb when i was 12, bought od a navy dude who stacked it and i rebuilt it in the days of school, it sat for a while b4 i gave 50 bucks for it, how ever, needle and seats and floats sticking cause these to flood 9 times out of ten, induction compression combustion exhaust is the principle, i also owned F1 and f2's have fun, (f1, spoked wheels, f2 the first 750 sohc with comstar mags, l8r

  • Thanks for the tip!

    Cheers

  • Beauty! I have a '72 750 with a handlebar and taillight setup from a '76. As we all know she can be a bit of a nag when it's cold, but once she's going...ah, it's just heaven.
