The Wombles performing 'The Wombling Song' on This Morning, 29th June 2011. Back in 1974 this same song reached Number 4 in the UK charts and The Wombles were the biggest selling singles act of that year. Crazy but true.

@tallpostie Not close enough for my liking - I hate this 'karaoke' version. Unfortunately no one has posted the 1974 version. You can hear bits of it if you watch an episode of the Wombles on yt.

Nice to see that in the 36 years since they were on Top of the Pops Madame Cholet has learned to play the Guitar and Great Uncle Bulgaria has learned the violin so they can swap some times....oh is that my coat? why thank you. :0)
