Casino Royale - CUT

Casino Royale (2006) is the 21st James Bond film and the first to star Daniel Craig. It is set at the beginning of Bond's career, just as he is earning his licence to kill. In this film Bond falls for Vesper Lynd. She is assigned to provide the money he needs to beat a terrorist in a poker game. Craig: "She's cute and she gives me money. No wonder this was the best earning Bond movie ever."

Director Martin Campbell stated that he was lucky to get rid of Pierce Brosnan: "Craig is the first Bond you can truly believe in. The others were just sissies." Casino Royale is the first in which Miss Moneypenny does not appear. Campbell did not like her either. "As a kid I used to go for popcorn when she came on."

Location filming took place in Montenegro, The Bahamas, Italy and the United Kingdom. But most was filmed at Pinewood Studios. The 007 remix was done in the Snybone Studios. All sounds were cut from the movie. It took a month to get it all into place, including beating Craig in a poker game to get him to say "Sny Bone" (0:34).
