  • What evidence? Very odd for a Christian to talk about 'evidence' - thats normally the stuff you sweep under the carpet. There is NO evidence that Christ ever walked the Earth. There is NO evidence that a God exists. There is No evidence that YOUR religion is RIGHT and OTHERS are WRONG. The Bible isnt even yours, its stories aren't yours,YOUR religious history, is NOT yours. Read a book, other than the obviously fake one you live your life by and you'll see the truth.

  • "That's simply not true. Stalin and Mao have killed more people in peace time than all wars of history combined"

LOL this one is getting submitted to fundies say the darndest things. Religion is directly responsible for some of the most horrific acts in all of recorded history, and the kill count? Yeah. Stalin isn't even close

Did you know there was a time when the Christians controlled the civilized world? Every aspect of it, from schools to government.

We refer to this time as THE DARK AGES.

  • PLEASE DON'T GROUP WALT DISNEY WITH ALL THESE GREAT MEN HE WAS A DOUCHE BAG ANTI SEMITE I DON'T WANT TO BE GROUPD IN WITH HIM

  • Imagine if John hadn't been shot by a nutjob who I believe is still alive. I wonder if that nutjob is an atheist?

  • @mrbrendanobrien It just says George Bush. That could be either of them. Also there is plenty of evidence that he said it. It was in answer to a direct question and many people heard him.

"W" is famous for saying, "Stop throwing the Constitution at me. It's just a god damned piece of paper." Plenty of people heard that, too.

  • First that quote is from H. W. Bush not the recent W. Bush. Second there is no evidence/record that he ever said it. As a atheist I seek truth no half truths and lies.

  • @IvyClaireRN Yes, and I am sure that their fanatical and irrational reaction to his correct support of Copernican theory that the earth went around the sun really strengthened his belief. Just because he lived in an age when he could not claim to be an atheist for fear of being murdered by the christians, does not mean he believed in god at all.

  • Galileo Galilei remained a Roman Catholic throughout his life.

  • to let us "imagine" how the world would be without all those things. again, 'nothing to kill or die for' it makes perfect sense. there's nothing wrong with believing god or having a religion, what is wrong is the hate towards someone that believes in a specific religion. i bet i'm not doing a good job putting this into words, but i came up with the conclusion, that lennon was not an atheist.

  • now now, did this song say "imagine there's no god"? no. john was a christian. it actually depends on how you see this song. i have interpreted the lyrics, if you think outside of the box, this song has a lot to do with judging people. what he means is; imagine the world without religion, without country, no heaven or hell. people would live life more for themselves, they'd do things because their hearts told them to. every little idea about someone leads to another. i think lennon was trying

  • @laughallnite08 belief in god is not the same thing as having a religion... for example, buddhism is a godless religion.
