you know, bud.. not a whole lot of people take the time to be just honest and good to people in the business world, nowadays.. everybody is trying to mark up prices 10,000% and screw people over. your honesty and "how-to" advice just won me over, and now i'm convinced that i'm going to take my business to your website. thanks a bunch.

@topal002 It depends on the vehicle. Some vehicles still have drum brakes on the rear, and some have disk brakes.

@1aauto are front brakes always disc and back brakes always drum

You suppose to spray brake cleaner on your new rotors and wipe out the coated stuff so it does not gum up on your pads.

is it normal for one pad to be slightly more worn than the other? the outmost pad on my passenger caliper is about 3/4 the depth of the inner(one against the piston). I didn't investigate the driver's side, and I know the wheel spins freely and the caliper works as it should.

@Vacmasterthegreat They sould wear fairly evenly. You may want to check the brake caliper to see if it's hanging up.

man, this video is older, yet EXTREEMLY helpful. what would be the price comparison for a do-it-yourself vs. taking it to a repair shop?
firedog2k9 1 month ago
@firedog2k9 It would depend on the hourly rate of the shop. We carry brake pad and rotor kits for many different types of vehicles on our website 1aauto.com
