@Deebob5 Actually he came out of the closet to the general public shortly after the competition. He wasn't in the closet before it started, but he didn't talk about it while the competition was going on because he didn't want people to judge him, for or against, based off of that. He wanted people to look at his ability to sing and perform. But as it stands, he announced in an interview afterwards that he's gay.
