  • It's the 60's again and I am a little girl who waits each year for this to come on the TV again....I now own it on DVD, but nothing could ever take the place of those nights spent sitting on the floor in front of the TV with my mother watching this Cinderella. Thanks for posting this.

  • God, I miss being a kid, when all was simple and easy...I grew up in the mid 50's and this was my absolute favorite musical growing up - never gets old.

  • If there was a remake, I would cast Katie Holmes as Cinderella, she has the same 'mousy' type singing that Leslie has. This is not a bash, btw.

  • My friend and I used to sing this to each other (and 10 minutes Ago I saw You) either watching the movie or without, but ours was not to be. Leslie Anne Warren was so beautiful then and her young voice made the song hers. Still makes me cry every time i hear it

  • Tickledpink2U ---OMG -- I was just telling my 18 year old daughterthe same thing you posted.

One of my favorite childhood memories. My mom would tell me when Cinderella was coming and me and her would watch it together. Thanks for posting this great memory.

  • I remember seeing this when I was little, and it just happened to roll across my mind yesterday afternoon. Thank you for posting. It brings back one of my most wonderful kid memories. They can remake all they want, but this is the Best of the Best for me! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to one and all!

  • @thecluephone yes, I mentioned the irony in H.'s lyrics--they are heartfelt with a twist.

  • My sister was addicted (in a good way) to this tv musical which came on every year. She empathized with Cinderella so much--we caught her passion. It is a great show and production. The songs are some of the best R and H did.

  • beyond lovely song, cast and set. we are transported. And an interesting reversel of words in each lyric sentence to add more depth/surprise to what is sung....Hammerstein at his best.

  • @Dladyist I agree... I love both versions though, I feel that they are both special in their own way. :)

  • If they were to remake this today who would you like to see as Cinderella and her prince?

  • @Dana888dana The one that Whitney Houston made was ok but it did not capture the magic of this one, I can watch it for ever! Because we used our imagination. That is the difference between life than and life now!
