Part 1 - First impressions - 00:12
Part 2 - Interview and Discussion - 27:11

Please note that "WTF is?" is a first impressions series. It is not a review and should never be misconstrued as one. It is my honest opinions, presented live, while playing. That is it, nothing more, nothing less.

TotalBiscuit brings you a two part Hyper WTF presentation, introducing you to the starting zone in the first half and a discussion/interview with a veteran closed beta player in the second, to talk about the more complex mechanics of the game and the end-game possibilities.

This will most likely be the only Rift video I produce, but we'll see.

  • @TheGamersPeru other way around, ill the people who dont like wow and got bored of it are all in rift

  • @TheGamersPeru

    Rift community disagrees.

  • There are a lot of changes in this game since this video. A LOT

  • @hotkix Rift is WoW 2.0 and its dead now all the people who left to that are back in WoW

  • sounds fairly reasonable.

  • Why would one game not benefit from the things that players like? Like the UI, it's the same as wow's UI because it works. For instance: Why would they place the bag bar in the top corner? Don't fix something if it's not broken.

  • dno about anybody els but i think this game is alot like wow

  • at 52:00 the guest speaker makes a good point. If Rift was too similar to WoW or too different then it wouldn't be as popular. But introduce the right mix of uniqueness and similarity and you have a winning combo. As for incremental change, I can only wish they would have practiced that with SWG.

  • @ressanxx24 To be fair most of them for the past 4 years are aggravatingly similar.
