Taranis is awesome!! R&D as been ages on this thing. Loads of cash spent on prototypes to get it right. Back in the mid '90's a communications tower was knocked down off a hill in the Isle of Man(not far from Bae Warton)maybe it was a early version of Taranis,The description was that of a UCAV. I think Taranis is part of Project Green Glow which included low observable platforms and exotic propulsion system development.

lol didnt the RAF contemplate replacing their jets with Super Tucano propeller planes or something, to fight cost effectively against the insurgents, now they come up with this :D
