Enjoyable to hear where the basis of his book came from. The languaging that he uses to describe the process of learning medicine and surgery and the doctor-patient relationships has universal themes for physicians. He describes the suffering we witness blended with the astonishing excitement that a physician feels as he cares for a patient and delves into their disease. Its like experiencing medicine for the first time and it touches something deep in the physicians's soul.
