I love this stuff! I got to fly in many dc-8's from aeromexico in the 80's.Wish i had pictures.What movie is this?

Aeromexico operated these DC-8's on several routes including Mexico City ( D.F. ) to London Heathrow. I once met a pilot who flew this trip regularly and he loved the DC-8.

Correction on engine type: Actually they are JT-3D-3B's.

This brings back memories. The engines in this video are the Pratt & Whitney JT-3D-3D turbofans. I have to give alot of credit to the guys at McDonell Douglas for designing and building such a fine airplane. Of all those first-generation passenger jets the DC-8 is my all-time favorite, and I've ridden on just about all of them : 707, 720, 727, Convair 880 & 990, etc... Nothing beats the DC-8. Just my opinion.

This is a classic of its genre :\ Note three 'passengers' sitting in an otherwise empty cabin. Best of all, check out the original Palomar seats, with the over- the- shouder reading lights.
