@adam3251 Yup, running a snatch block would lower your pulling point and give you more pulling power than pulling straight from the boom. I might be talking out the side of my neck, after all, I've only been driving tow trucks for 25 years.

@SneipenLGT Thanks for the comment. Holding down the front though is not considered a safe move. After several wheelies I ended up lowering my wheel lift to about 1 to 2 inches off the ground and that helped me get the extra pull I needed. That is not considered to be a safe move either but sometimes you need to just get the job done, especially when the CHP has had the road shut down in both directions for over 30 minutes. I actually saw a short HD tow truck shorter than that one and he was towing a long flatbed truck. Every time he tried to go he was doing wheelies couldnt even turn while pushing on the gas. At least this wasnt the case here lol

It's normal for a tow truck to do that. It's all physics he must be pulling out a normal car nothing big or a small pick up.
