Great to see someone bring this important issue to light. Simply put, parents need to BE parents to their children, and pay attention to these important facts.

yeh... blame the 64..
Then again, it did have a hella awkward controller..
I would say todays controllers are better shaped for more natural hand positions, thus putting kids at less risk for this deformation to occour.

I didnt understand anything that doctor guy said and also If your playing video games so much that your fingers get deformed the you need to get a life

ive been playing games for a long time and now that i saw this i noticed that my index finger on my right hand goes slightly under the middle finger. is this from gaming or just something thats fucked up on me from birth or something?

This is retarded. I've been playing games for over 20 years, none of my fingers are deformed. The kids in that story must have some predisposition to bent/crooked joints that happened to be exacerbated by holding the controller with some kind of DEATH GRIP.

LOL this is some of the most ignorant crap I have ever heard, that man is an idiot.

truly.. thats not true at all. mabye you started later, and your bones were developed and stronger. this newclip is real, even computers can do this, which sucks

I got the scars on my palms from Mario Party dude.
i have a pencil neck from staring down at those heavy, grey game-boys when I was a kid.
I have a tiny, feminine body build because I never exercised or produced testosterone.
thats funny. In the old days they had funny names for various common afflictions,
now generation Y has to start inventing names for the ones we create.
Truly sad.
I have both index finger twisted, and I have not almost driven since I got the license. I barely used a console when I was a child because I did not have one, and I did not started playing with the computer until I was 15. But I have my index fingers like that because my mother have theirs in the same way...you know, genetic inheritance, something that should be taken into consideration...

Have your manufacturer turn steering effort to “ZERO.” Then turn the steering wheel effortlessly with ONE FINGER at any speed, and without ANY RESISTENCE. I'm only allowed soo many characters.
