you dont have to remove the front sight to install the muzzle brake do you? It just bolts onto the front sight?
-
hey bro can i used that to saiga 762x39???
-
@100silverpizza Nope no ditching the front sight. the brake actually slides rigth down the side and locks in. I mean yeah it does add a lil bit of weight but over all you don't really notice. But you do notice a very lessened fireball out of your barrel. It is a considerable differnce and worth the money and the lil added weight.

Yep it fits right around the front sight. Yep it just bolts on. I used a little bit of locktight to insure it doesn't loosen while it's under my abuse.

Hey when you put that muzzle brake on your rifle did you have 3/16th of an inch of space between your front sight base and the tip of your barrel, or was there just a tiny bit of space?
I bought that muzzle for 160 >_< but it says don't use it if you don't have 3/16th inch of space and my barrel has like 1/16th in. of space so i don't know if there will be gas coming through that gap or not.

@Atsuma1987 Yes I had the 3/16th you do need that much in order for it to work properly. I would be afraid to fire a 308 if you put something on that doesn't fit properly. I would return what you have if you only have the 1/16th I'm sure they make muzzle brakes that will fit by now since Saiga is huge now. By the way you can buy that brake from centerfiresystems for about $140. Check Mississippi auto arms they usually have some good stuff for Saiga's.

What kind of accuracy have you been able to get. Especially out to and just beyond 500 yds. Thanks for the great review.

@angryfishmonger Well I can say at 250 yds with the scope I can usually hit between 1 to 6 inches from dead center of target. So far I haven't had the chance to take it out to 500 but I'm sure with only a 16 inch barrel there will be considerable differnce. That's why I will probably get the Remington SPS 700 Tactical here pretty soon a favorite of many armed services. But so far it's been an excellent rifle without one miss fire or jam even when really dirty it still shoots.
