Josh is age three and is autistic. He has a very rare form of autism called childhood disintegrative disorder. Joshy used to talk but at around age two he suddenly stopped and now only communicates through squealing, giggling and crying. Joshy loves to watch Peppa Pig and it makes me so happy that although my little boy has this rare form of autism and might not ever talk or walk, I am lucky that he is a beautiful, funny, gifted child that loves his Mommy (me) very much. Thanks for watching.

  • how is josh now

  • @TheYmarti20

Josh is doing ok. He is still na giggler and still loves Peppa pig! He is still not walking and is 6 years old now. We are currently fundraising to get him treatment in America with the Son-rise Program so hopefully this time next year we'll have made some good progress :)

  • Hi, I've recenntly finneshed reading a book on CDD, it's called "when autism strikes"

Theres one little lad in there who was put on antiepileptics and I think and anti phycotic too and 70% of his symptoms disssaperd.

I think they caught it early though so if your thinking of going down that rout, bear in mind it will take longer for any change.

I basicly belive from my knowledge of phycology is that CDD is just a PDD in which a Phycosis develops.

    All the best - Daniel.

  • Hi Daniel. Thankyou for your advice, I'm very grateful to anybody who tries to help us. I have also read the book 'when autism strikes' and each child in the book is very similar to Josh. I think you are right about the phycosis. I am monitoring Josh at the moment but am definately bearing medication in mind. I'm just so afraid of what the side effects might be and Josh is such a happy, giggly little boy I couldn't change that. Thanks again. Best wishes - Emma

  • Hi djanco

I'm glad this video made you smile and i'm glad your little boy shares the love of Peppa pig to!

Josh was diagnosed with global developmental delay. I had to fight to get him assessed for autism and maybe your son should to. If he has autism then a diagnosis is very important in order for you to get the help you need!! Ask your doctor to refer him to be assessed by a peadiatrician for autism. I'm here if you want any advice!! Take care and I send a big hug to your little boy! x

  • So pleased to see Josh enjoying the show - Phil Davies producer

  • Thank you for your comment! Peppa has brought us much laughter and joy to our home and for that we are very grateful. It's heartbreaking having a child that doesn't talk but at least when Peppa pig is on telly we get to hear the sound of our beautiful son's voice. Thanks Phil and to everyone else for your kind comments. Much appreciated.

  • Aww bless him he's so cute I've got autism myself and he is so adorable

  • @dialemz i think it's so fantastic that something as simple as peppa the pig (me and my daughters favorite btw)can bring your beautiful boy so much joy,it brought tears to my eye to see how genuinely excited he was and how good it must make you feel to see him that way.god bless you and your son,i believe you do everything and anything in your power to help him just never give up all your hard work will some day be rewarded although the love of your little boy is reward enough,in our prayers

  • WEIRD

  • He is SOOOO cute!!!.. To my knowledge.. CDD is not autism. It is a PDD like autism is.... but it is not under the autism spectrum (which only includes autism disorder, Aspergers, and PDD, NOS)... Best wishes to josh and his family :)

  • This is adorable!!! My youngest brother also has autism. He has ASD and is behind in many area's for his age. His main problem is not being able to grasp language very quickly, therefore he cannot converse and understand as well as children his age (I think he's behind by about 2-3 years). He absolutely adores Peppa Pig and laughs so hard he rolls about on the floor. To be quite honest, everybody in my house loves Peppa Pig and the rest of us are 17, 19, 48 and 49 lol.

  • ITS CUTE!!!
