This is my version of the old spiritual "Were You There?" I've been playing a lot with incidental noise - and inspiration for that matter. This was originally gonna be just music, no lyrics, but I suddenly started singing these words as I was listening to this and it stuck. All of the photos are taken by me within a 3 mile radius of my residence in Grand Rapids. As I was taking the pictures of crosses, I got the sense that instead of photographing the symbol in these places, I should be taking photos of the people around these areas. Inspiration for another day. Vocals were recorded in the "wide open" and if you listen carefully you can hear the wind blowing, passing cars and birds chirping.
Lyrics (my adaptation):
Were you there when they crucified My Lord?
Oh, sometimes it makes me tremble.
Were you there when they nailed him to that tree?
Oh, sometimes it makes me tremble.
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb?

@sgtred111 Yeah, it's standard tuning. It's all pretty much some version of a minor and e minor with a b minor something thrown in for a sec. :)
