A quick visit to Phoenix Park in Dublin. It's one of the biggest city parks in the world - bigger than both Hyde Park and Central Park. We saw the residence of the president of Ireland, but sadly no deer. :-) The most impressive thing though was Wellington's column ... it's enormous! If you'll pardon the pun. The Iron Duke was originally from Dublin, I didn't know that. You can learn something new every day. :-)

  • I thought Wellington was British, is this an indication that the Irish beat Napoleon ?

    How close is that obelisk to the Blarney stone ?
