A sneak peak from the new album..."Formative Years"...live!
______
ARSONS
Down a rubble road; just a block from home
Where the roof was thatched
With abandonment
Stacks of magazines;
Compost of the past
We once held a flame;
We once held a spark
Time was of the essence
Sheltered from the wind
Delegated sentinels
Camouflaged our sin
Light upon your face
Dark upon my grin
We procured this fire
And we claimed it our own win.
One little match
In this damp
Made me grow
Everyone knows
You play with fire; you get burnt
It's always ill fated!
Dangerous trappings!
But in this flame comes a moment illuminated
All at once our dreams;
Became recognized
With a paper trail
Smokin' in the night
If the knowledge gained
Was erroneous
We still had our fun
And a memory
No matter the gain
Anonymity or fame
Felicity or pain
We still had our gain
One little match
In this damp
Made me grow
Everyone knows
You play with fire; you get burnt
It's always ill fated!
Dangerous trappings!
But in this flame comes a moment illuminated
Everytime I light a match, I hold it much too long and it burns me.
