This is a three minute trailer created to introduce a "Lost in Paradise" adventure DVD coming soon from HomeGrownEarth.com. This is a benefit for "Sustainable Living" in Hawaii and around the world. All proceeds go to Home Grown Earth and BigIslandSchool.com The finished documentary features a hike along the world-famous Ne Pali Coast. From beginning to end, staff, students and adventure clients are able to experience exploration and discovery of this wild beautiful coast along with important lessons about survival and wilderness travel. FromKe'e Beach to the mysterious Kalalau Valley skills are learned and documented via photography, journal writing, and digital video. Included in this video are a few interviews with eccentric characters like Yasha Leytush, our guide, who carries nothing with him except a sketch pad, knife and lighter. He shows us lots of wild edibles along the way.

Joe Jungers also came along and provided the video camera and other vital support.

"Video is by all odds the most important and lucrative industry of the 21st century." -Al Gore, TIME Magazine

  • like the scenery shots and the whole love and Aloha theme with the commentary. It fits this beautiful island- Love the opening shot from in the cave.

  • Ahhhhhh, hippies. Half of them are the coolest people you'll ever meet, the other half are complete weirdos, he he. Well done little video. Must say though, I didn't like the tone of voice on the Haole looking man. It lacked respect. Careful on Kauai, you can get in problems with a voice like that

  • Ah Kauai, I miss that island. Mahalo!
