@Tartovski I said I don't worry u may well worry, this kind of who discussion about the real lineage has troubled CMA & it wastes time&development Its happened in WC, HG CLF etc. MYau says its 5families thats fine by me, i've trained in lots of CMA both in Uk & China & can easily see the traditional tecs that r included in the forms this is enough 4me. Have spent alot of time with M.Yau & seen other masters who can trace back they r no mre impressive or skilled cuz of this.

Nick you'll return better than ever, you don't need to get better to clean the division, but you will. Anyways, if you never come back, it's your choice, you're already the best.

This is not Lau Gar!! In a Chinese article about this Guandong Lau Ga Kyun it was said it was actually Choy Ga (and then became the curriculum of a family named Lau) and that the original Lau Ga style had vanished in China a long time ago already. I can't seem to find the article online anymore, but just watch the clip and see which leg is leading most of the time.

great form and good song despite what others say and that it wasn't the most fitting son,g i would still like to know what it was :D

my tecaher said that aprrently there isnt any body actully trining lau gar in china might be wrong but this must be mititiled
Master Yau's history goes back roughly 1840(169years) to Wan Goon Wing & Tang Hoi Ching. His gong fu is traditional & real I don't worry what name he calls it or if it is really from 3eye Lau it is just Chinese MA passed down though his family this is what he teaches.
Plus google is not a good research tool for looking up info bout Lau Ga or Wan Goon Wing & Tang Hoi Ching, men that lived 150 years ago & clearly didn't submit articles in English to google so that people could research LOL!

@HaoJianFromFoshan Master Yau's CLAIMED history goes back that far. Let's remember there is no evidence other than his own word (i'm happy to see evidence if you have any).
You say you don't worry about the name, but he claims clearly on his website that his Lau Gar is THE Lau Gar of the 5 families. That is at best misrepresenting the facts, at worse it's "passing off" and tantermount to fraud.

@Tartovski plz do no say things master yau thow i have never met him im just a green sash he must be a great person to bring this to our country for us to learn instead of aruging about this just enjoy it for what it is
theshaslaman 9 months ago
@theshaslaman He didn't bring THIS to our country though. That's the point. This vid bares no relation what-so-ever to the Lau Gar being taught by Jeremy Yau. As for enjoy it for what it is, I do. That's why I train BJJ now.

@theshaslaman *sigh* I know all about the history of the BKFA, Lau Gar in the UK, and the development of the syllabus. I also know the only sources for the history of Lau Gar in the UK is Jeremy Yau himself. i.e. They are unverified.
So watch the video again. And the other ones I've linked to in the information.
None of these forms appear in the Lau Gar that Jeremy Yau teaches. Whatever Jeremy Yau is teaching - it isn't the Lau Gar as shown in this vid.
