How did you do that super short blast? on my MTH SD70M-2 the shortest blast is 2 seconds
-
love that horn and all those cars
-
Glad to see after doing recording of my K5LA for 2 hours the sounds got used.
-
i would like to see sounds recorded from fpa-4's, rs-3's and via rail engines.
but the qsi sound system is amazing, with a bonus--doppler effect.
-
What coaches are they and where may I be able to get them from please ?
-
Sounds just like the real thing.

This is a new horn that will be released shortly in a new version of Q2 Upgrade. It will be listed as K5La (Amtrak) and should be out within a week or so. I am one of the sound engineers for QSI solutions and the video you see here was the initial test of the horn in a locomotive.

I have a few of the QSI decoders in my atlas engines but have never installed one before. If you dont mind me asking.. Is that horn custom recorded or was it an option from the factory? thanks

@NSmodeler24 This was a horn that we recorded for the aftermarket decoders. Now that it is available in the library any of our OEM vendors are welcome to use it.

By the way, these two Athearn locos now run really well, unfortunatley we had to remotor them straight out of the box to get them to run, for Athearns "collector edition" they're pretty weak mechanically.
