Elite can say what they want, but this is not a strong ball at all. Honestly, if you put a 5 x 3 on this with some polish on the cover, you will have a great ball for dry lanes. I had one drilled leverage and sanded to 1000 and it still couldnt move more than my street rod pearl.

elite did just come out with the red alien its supposed to hook a lot.

hmm..idk i really ned another ball to add to my arsenal.. and the Alien looks beautiful.. but idk if it will work.. thanks so much for helping me out though!

the alien curves if you crank it but kinda begins to die when it gets soaked with oil, not a dry oil ball at all

hmm.. good call. idk i have the widow venom which is great.. carries down the lane amazing.. but I put so much hand behind the ball that it still hooks too much . Does the alien have enough backend motion to throw straight and it still hit the 1/3?

actually the alien doesnt work good on dry lanes,doesnt carry down the lane far enough, i would go with a ball with a natural polished or plastic coverstock with a high RG, i have a solar eclipse and a RS48 which are pretty hard balls to come by but they work great for light to dry oil lanes...

well im looking for a less reactive ball than what i have.. especially for drier lanes. would this fit?

it depends, its a medium hooking ball, if you want a big hooking ball its not for you
