  • It was a project at the University which is regular about 10 week. Main challenge was getting into Unity an learning a little bit of syntax. Since i had just done virtools which was nodebased and buggy.

Nowadays that project would cost me about 2 weeks.

  • Aha I see it kills my links. So I explained th scripts at the "unity Forum"

"Preehistory Planet Game" from me ;)

  • I explained it with script at:

But there ain't much specials, just Rigid-Bodies moving towards a target.

  • How did you made the planet and its gravity? im trying to figure it out , plz answer , oh and btw good game dude :D

  • I did the planet in 3dsmax. Just polymodelling. And the script/system is much simpler than lots of people think:

The planet has per poly collision & and the Humans have a BoxCollider and are RiggidBodies. They start on Top of the Planet & the script drags them towards a placeholder at the center. A second script rotates the planet. Some script for Collision with the picups and GUI. Thats it, no special direction per normal ect... . It's just cubes wich bounce around, but it works.

  • Hey, I just wanted to ask why this particular project took 10 weeks to complete. How much time in those 10 weeks did you put into it and what were the main challenges you had to overcome?

    Thanks, Nov
