Hello. Whenever I open up VB/VC#/VC, when i open a form or make a new form, I get a bsod and the computer crashes. I don't know why. If anyone else has had this problem before, please tell me how you fixed it.

Visual Basic could open when i had it for like 3 months or so, and suddenly stopped working. If there is some way to extend the BSOD or run vb in safe mode or something, please tell me in the comment box or a video response.

I'm soo bored without VB! lol VB 6 and 2005 suck :(
Btw, VB 6 and 2005 still work for some reason.

My computer is Windows XP Service pack 3,
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU
6820 @ 1.86 GHz
1.87 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM

  • You should write down the technical information in the bsod if you can like get a clear shot of it before it goes away and then google it. That might help :P

  • Hey that also happened to my computer when I opened up a game called SuperTux 0.3.1. It came up with the error said like that, but there was a glitch. I once opened up SuperTux 0.3.1 after I reinstalled it, and it didn't show up error. Do you have a new computer? Because the glitch came up after my computer was old.

  • Isn't it the blue screen?Ok try to reinstall If the problem is the same so It means your computer have a problem about working visual basic 2008.Maybe you should try to install visual basic 2010 or 2005.

  • I have had the same problem, try rebooting your computer there might be a dll missing like mine and a intallation thingy was replaced with it instead, and the things that starts the program is re installed with the missing dll with the compenent making it no work

I am just saying reboot it

  • ok kid, have you tried uninstalling VB 2008 and reinstalling it thats the first thing you need to try and also is it just that program or is it others on your computer.

  • Could be a loose connection in your comp thats making it short curcait or something. Check all the connections with your RAM, HDD, CPU are all good. (its probably a memory thing tho)
