This video shows how to disassemble, inspect, and reassemble the CVT transmission systems popular on motor scooters. This includes the variator, rollers, drive belt, clutch, clutch bell, torque driver, and more. Complete disassembly and reassembly.

This video shows a 1E40QMB / Jog / Minarelli 49cc two-stroke, but the basics apply to a wide range of scooters and some youth ATVs and karts.

Sorry, I'm not a good narrator.

  • Nice job, I've used a HF oil filter wrench to hold the variator in place on my 4 strokes. They have one that locks like vice grips too.

  • @uunit08 There is no oil plug or dipstick for a 2T scoot. You have to add 2T oil to a reservoir and it's drawn from there and injected into the engine with the air/fuel mixture. There's no dedicated lubrication system with crankcase oil filling like a 4T.

  • @uunit08 You mean the rear brake? If so, you can see a cable and lever at the very rear/bottom if the case. There's a nut on it and you use that to adjust the play and tension in the cable.
