I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that I believe this to be the definitive version of this well-known standard. With music composed by Hoagy Carmichael and lyrics by Johnny Mercer, this tune has been done by virtually every one of the all-time great jazz singers. But it is my belief that it has never been done quite as well as Porter and his band does it here. Simply beautiful and sweetly swingin'. This is what true jazz should sound like.

Lovely version. Have a listen to Ian Shaw in his "Abbey Rd Sessions" though. Also does a beautiful version!

jesus christ beeshor1.you are right.this guy is somthin else.what a rendition of this classic.hoagy and johnny would be knocked out by this.i love it.watch out for the lion song.
