  • If peopel thinks that remark Obama will hurt Las Vegas. Give me a break. Goodman can go fuck himself. A mob lawyer. Give me a break. Allow me to break out the worlds smallest violin. I live in Vegas also. If the politicians had taxed the Casino years ago like other states casinos 15-25%, started a state lottery, and increase mining taxes. Nevada, to this day would be thr richest state in the Union. No one in the universe will ever convince me and many others different.

  • Goodman needs to concentrate on job creation and home foreclosures, and Obama is not helping the situation with his stupid comments and antibusiness agenda.

  • Obama was simply saying that these trips should not be at tax-payer's expense. This old man Goodman should listen properly. Obama was using Las Vegas as an example of a good place to go but that the tax payer should not finance it.

  • sups 702 vs old porn mayor

  • oscar goodman thinks hes in the mafia because he was a MAFIA lawyer at 1 time in vegas for 25 years .........he needs to take hes ego out of it

  • i enjoy going to las Vegas once a year and last year it was twice. I don't like they have newer hotels opening up while some hotel offer substandard and expensive rooms. Also there is so much crime there it makes me afraid to rent a car. Las Vegas should diversify itself into other industries. I know it is in the desert but it cannot las long with entertainment alone. I want to be able to take my kids there one day. It should build warm inviting places not monstrosities like city center

  • I do not live in Vegas, but I sure do enjoy going there. (and dropping some bucks) I'm sure you(the citizens) know what is best for your town, but in reality, Obama owes the people of Las Vegas an apology. His remarks were a slam against everyone there. And that was so uncalled for. I hope everyone remembers that come Nov. 2012!!!

  • wait, isn't Las Vegas one of the top crime cities in the states, even worse than Los Angeles? xD

  • lol drunk

You got that right, this is not a good place to live. This summer I'll bet Nevada power will be raising the rates again to make up for all the people who have left Vegas. Not to mention the property taxes will go up sky high to make up for that loss as well. I get depressed just thinking about it.

There will be a lot of people moving on if and when the real estate values ever come back up. When the LV Valley was growing back in the 1990's to early 2000's, the proper amenities of a solid infrastructure were never put in place. The politicians were too busy putting "under the table" money in their pockets. Politicians only care about business here NOT the people. The taxes on the casino and mining industry should have been raised a long time ago. Not a good place to live...

I don't know how this idiot Goodman has been in office this long. He does nothing for Las Vegas.
