@Corkoth55 Depends on your version of labor intensive. I just picked up a big block galaxie fasback for $2,000 us. All parts with it. Engine is pulled as well as tranny. Could be a solid runner for about $3,000 if I do the labor. Took me 3 months of searching for one. They are out there. Make sure to research research before buy a particular model.

"gettin crusty at the BCA meet" ha! If you're gonna stand out, that's probably a good place to do so! Another fun video.

It came with the 400 in 1964, listen to him shift 3 gears. 1963 was last year for dynaflow 2 speed.

wish i could have my own classic car.. buuut the one's that are already decent (i.e. not broken down, missing parts) are too expensive. and the one's that i could afford would need restoration which is... labor intensive..

I remember reading a while back that Buick had an experimental turbo 425 they were playing with during this time....they killed the project due to no existing tranny being able to handle 725 lb/ft of torque.

You are right - so much torque the ol' Dynaflow was shredded. Shoulda backed it up with a THM400...
