Fact 2: Most Taiwanese think of themselves as Taiwanese, not Chinese.

The "Taiwanese" language is actually a dialect originating in Mainland China. 98% of the island's population are ethnic Han. Most people on the island speak Mandarin. The rebel regime hasn't even declared independence, so even legally it's indisputable that the island is currently part of the Chinese nation.
Taiwan is part of CHINA! :) I look forward with great eagerness to the day when the beautiful red flag of the People's Republic of China flies in all its glory over liberated Taibei!
