http://www.therenegadehealthshow.com - Sometimes Annmarie and I get really tired of raw smoothies.

So when we do, we... OK, fine... Annmarie makes this special raw buckwheat porridge. :-)

It was originally a recipe for buckwheat crispies that you put in the dehydrator, but Annmarie didn't like them dried out.

So she put the mix in a bowl with some sliced organic fruit and some almond milk and gave it a shot.

It was awesome! So now we bring another healthy and raw breakfast option to you...

  • Wheat berries, Oat groats, buckwheat groats, millet, spelt berries, rye berries, and amaranth (or whatever grain you like/have equaling about 1/2 cup) all soaked for 8 hours then sprouted for 8+ hours; add walnuts, brazil nuts (any nuts), 1 cut-up banana, couple dates, and then covered in raw almond/coconut milk. Breakfast of CHAMPIONS!

  • cream of wheat just wont seem right without being warm. Well to me at least.

  • Just the bottom of the plate is all you guys are having? I'd be starving myself if I ate these amounts :S

  • Can soaking buckwheat overnight in MILK instead of water, also reduce it's phytic acid?

    How does it compare with oatmeal in terms of soluble fiber & magnesium?

  • I'm just getting interested in raw foods and watching videos to get ideas.

    My favorite breakfast right now is pizza. :)  I grind fresh: wheat, rice and beans into flour. Add yeast, sea salt and a spoon of ghee. If I have sprouts, I will add those to the mixed dough.

    Pizza toppings can be anything, I use a little cheese, lots of onions, bell peppers, olives. Bake it on a stone in the bbq'er. I can eat on this for days. Fresh tomato slices on top are good while it's still hot.

  • I make this many days of the week. It makes my skin radiant. I eat tons of raw buckwheat.

  • I like to make vegan rice pudding by using leftover brown rice in the rice cooker, some coconut and almond milk and lots of cinnamon and organic rasinins.

  • hello ors i go back to bowl to boat hull. very good for teeth as molybdenum 2 by green beans hued imbued air dried or dripped. this intact can soften simultaneously not just similar in bender. water's mine not drain's then. agree unbottled is less sugar because w/ pulp etc. spikable sugar's found sun sensitive like no fat burner connected. sproutable's balkable by dose to stop being in backwoods w/ perse. yard dish w/ nettles breaking it down isn't just yardeyardeyar. watch stiil not just crank~
