Sorry I like the later stuff better than this punk rock, or is it called Ska? I'm glad Greg Camp wrote better lyrics than all this punkish curse stuff. Did Greg write this stuff? I know he wrote the stuff from here that got on "All Star Smash Hits." I'm not even sure what some of these words are talking about. Is it not long enough? LOL Why do you like that? Understand it or not, I guess everyone has their own taste. By the way, Sorry about your penis. LOL

Isn't there a slower, softer version of this song that they did? I remember hearing it playing during the credits of Orgazmo, IIRC. I was hoping that this was going to be *that* version. Never even knew that this version existed before. Hopefully, the other version is also available here...

East Bay Sessions is my favorite Smash Mouth CD. I wish they would put out more of this punkish sound. Love it.

He actually said "end up with a case of warts". This song was written before they had any success to speak of. Great song though.

It's a massive troll song, essentially. Probably just about a massive hate he had for people in the industry at the time. One of the lines "End up at the kid awards", so he's clearly pissed at his own success in the world of children and at musicians/actors who feel they're amazing and successful because the public says so, not because of their actual skill. In other words, "Sorry about your penis."

I think there's stuff to love from both eras. The old ska had the attitude that people came to love, but the later albums seemed to be a bit more emotional and reflective about life and not wasting it. I could be wrong but no one who is in love with one seems to be able to appreciate the other.
