Yeah I found this out and replaced the pump, but since I did a lot of work on the engine and the coolant system, now I seem to have a few leaks here and there, working on getting them fixed.

they put the hole there so when the water pump goes bad itll leak there and youll know you need a new one same on all bikes and cars

Hey I have this problem right now, and I found the leak.... Its a little hole on the back of the pump, I can't seem to find a reason for the hole either even though it is purposefully there....
